Epiphyllum cooperi

Epiphyllum cooperi

Epiphyllums come from the moist, warm forest areas of South America, Mexico and the Caribbean. Few true species are seen in cultivation as they have been hybridised to gain better flowering characteristics. Their stems are not showy, but even their critics often keep a few Epiphyllums tucked away under the bench - an acknowledgement of their splendid blooms.

E. cooperi has large white flowers and an extremely strong, sweet scent.
