For some reason Escobarias are not particularly common in cultivation in the UK. True they are not the showiest of plants, but they are small growing, flower readily, and can be very attractive in their own quiet way. Taxonomically, they have been linked with Coryphantha and Neobessaya. Escobarias are found over a wide area of North America.
